[after Luke 2]
Lord, let your servant now depart in peace,
according to your word. Oh, such elation,
today, came as I looked upon your Word:
the Light that will enlighten all Gentiles;
the Glory of your people. Israel;
Whose Love disposes of sin, death, and hell,
and gives protection as the world beguiles
us to temptation, and if it defiles
us, His forgiveness will cleanse and restore
our souls, bidding our trepidations cease.
