We worship the most ancient Trinity,
the everlasting, true Divinity,
which loves our souls into infinity,
and makes our halting prayers a poetry;
even our failures, to the last degree,
are rescued from the "might have been"-ity.
The First of them is called, by us, Existence;
the Second of them called, by us, Consistence;
the Third, and no means least, is called Persistence.
We call our faith the Acts Consistently---
the ancient, early Christianity
that certain scholars, steeped in history
may recognize; and, more than others, know
more than twenty thousand earth years ago.
