I like you.

I don't know if I love you,

But I know that I could in a second.

One accepting smile from you,

And I know I could fall,

Quicker and harder than ever before.



Oh that smile.

You tend to hide it,

Like a secret which precious few are worthy to witness.

Your smile,

It can brighten any room,

Or life for that matter.

I am elated when it is all my own.

Given to me,

From you.

If only you knew what emotions it can evoke in me.

Like warm rays of sunshine,

It engulfs me,

Melting all barriers around my heart.



Oh your eyes.

They seem to know only two degrees of expression.

Indifference,

And a look so inviting,

That I find it difficult to keep my distance.

This second look, combined with the smile,

Is the reason I first began to fall for you.



But now,

I find that as I learn more about you,

I sink even deeper into this hopeless dream.

You are everything.

You are funny,

You are smart,

You are athletic,

But most of all,

You are capable of fulfilling my dreams with a single smile.

I want to hold you someday.

I want to feel you eyes gazing into mine.

I want to kiss your smile,

And watch it become brighter.

I like you,
