What I Am For My Country

Folder:
Oldies

Where have I been?

What have I done?

I am the soldier left unknown.

I am the soldier who never came home.

I am the soldier.

I am the soldier.

I am the soldier, forever alone.

I am the ground

On which the dead man lies.

I am the hell

Below larks flying high

I am the poppy

That grows in the mud.

I am the symbol

Of our courage and blood.

I am the gun

That fires all through the night.

I kill the enemies.

I lead the fight.

I am the cross

That marks our hero's end.

I am the reminder

Of we who are dead.

Where have I been?

What have I done?

I am the soldier left unknown.

I am the soldier who never came home.

I am the soldier.

I am the soldier.

I am the soldier, forever alone.
