The Passion in my Blood I have known fear and ecstacy
Entwined like lover's hands
Circling with frozen fingers
The moment's sudden flame ...
In firelit songs, I burn now
My remembering body struck
Bone upon bone, like prayer
To our desperate hearts' lament ...
Between thought and touch
Within the space of possibilities
We teach the worlds alive
In us, defying boundaries ..
In the hunger of your eyes
I have known madness and daring
Like lovers' swift limbs in dance
Upon a bed of butterfly wings ..
Wow. This entire poem is amazing but there are certain lines that just blew me away. The opening line was one of them but my favorite was, "My remembering body struck
Bone upon bone, like prayer". All I can say is, wow.
