I grasp for air as I hit the surface
I see nothing but crystal sky
The lethal blue encloses me again
Its hold so gripping I wished to die...
I struggled more, now desperate
The seagull laughed and spitted
The white sand beach a cruel mirage
Of this near-death eyes, I stretched my arms ...
I'm drowning now, I'm giving in,
I want to sink into this heaven
You're drowning me, suffocating,
I hate it, and I need it ...
Will you swallow and digest me too?
Will you save me, love, or play the fool??
I don't know what to think no more
As long as I drown in you.
This poem is amazing. It's subtle and sneaks up on you to leave a lasting impression. I love the the third stanza, especially the line "Iām drowning now, I'm giving in"
