Before I knew the pain
My face had a silly grin
But after the fight
I didn't have the strength
You know how it feels
It is always all too real
Slowly recovering
Never staying the same
Promises for no one
The pain always stains
You think you won't hurt again
That you've learned your lesson
But right after you've healed
That first joy returns
And then after a while
Your heart burns
The pain is returning
You don't remember it so rough
You just try to hide
Recoiling into your mind
