You penetrate my shields with your charm
You scale my walls with your tenderness
You pry away my armour with your devotion
You coax my heart to beat with your love
You wake me from my half-lived stupor
You help me trust in your faithfulness
We take vows and pledge to be one and only
Your mulishness prompts me to raise shields
Your thoughtlessness forces me to rebuild walls
Your disloyalty persuades me to collect armour
Your lying with her causes my heart to stutter
Your withdrawal wakes those long shushed doubts
Your faithlessness splinters my trust
You erode our foundation with your betrayal
My crumbled walls are rebuilt and reinforced
My shields are impenetrable
My armour is thick and unreachable
My heart longs to stop beating
My life is lived in numb oblivion
My trust is shattered beyond repair
I am closed to everyone, again.

you are open to those who love you
clearly he doesn't
you are handling this with the most amazing grace and strength
