Bleeding hearts and crimson tears.

A raging fire turned to dying embers.

Shattered dreams and lost years.

Lonely memories no one remembers.



I think of these when I think of you.

And the tears sweep down my cheeks.

The things we kept and held on to.

And all the things we both seek.



A lingering embrace and gentle kiss.

Gleaming eyes and sparkles like stars.

All these things i know we'll both miss.

These wounds have closed to scars.



Scars that remind me we did exist.

And open souls that are reaching out.

A lonely night, tears i couldnt resist.

All these things im thinking about.



But all these things bind me to you.

Painful or lovely i hold them tight.

Being without you will be hard to do.

But the choice your making is right.



I hold you close for one last embrace.

Letting you go is my hardest task.

In my mind is your lingering face.

For the first time i look up to God and ask.



Please God, all i ask is keep him safe and well.

And please try your hardest to bring him back to me.

For this id give my spot in heaven and choose hell.

If only my life with him could always and forever be.
