Candle light shines
off the water
open eyes sparkle
rose colored lips
form a sorrow
filled frown
tear streaks
emphasize
pale cheeks
a white rose
fallen to the floor
wax is pouring over
spilling onto the
counter, the
light is turned off
the candle light
dances off of
her beautiful face
and across the
slightly redened walls
the only sound in
this sad silence
is dripping.
The dripping
of water from
the faucet
ripples drift across
red water
distorting her beauty
twisting and swirling
laid back and
stuck, her eyes
lifeless and cold
rose colored lips
now dry and rough
beauty now sad
and bewildered
life now gone
and forgotten
pain now only a
memory.
A memory now
stricken by
rose thorns
and razor blades.
such a beautiful sad poem
