The perfect paradise
They were there, even
If it was only for a moment
A moment spent in paradise
Where she had it all
With her father
Oh, how wonderful her
Bitter-Sweet paradise
Spent on a star, blowing
Kisses to the moon
Holding the father
She never knew
Cursing the hated world
That lied beneath her
Wishing upon every star
That she could remain here
Just for a few more moments
To spend the night in her fathers arms
Upon his star where he stares down
Upon the daughter he never had
Where he gets the chance to
Say all that he never could
With that they looked
Into each others eyes
And in that moment
All the words never said
Were spoken through their eyes
Oh, paradise paradise
How she wants to stay.
She sees the moon and stars grow dim
Knowing that its time to go
She holds on tighter, hoping
She’ll never have to let go again
Oh, Bitter-Sweet paradise
She smiled at him-with a smile
Only a daughter can give
With that he embraced her tightly
And his tears fell onto her cheek
And brought life to her once again.
She woke from her dream
Losing her father all over again
Breaking her heart and
Taking everything sacred
Parting two people who
With an embrace had it all,
Who with an embrace
Had paradise.
Wow, that's pretty deep and sad... But it's a nice poem to read; made me slightly depressed actually. PD17 Out...
