"A Dream?"

Fallen asleep to a dream

To the place of your father

Where he can hold his daughter

The coldness of your broken locket

The feeling of a frozen star

You cant hold back the rising tears

The ice on your cheek from frozen tears

It feels so real for a dream

The aching pain of a fallen star

The once bright smile of a new father

Casts a sorrowing light on her locket

The sparkle of the eyes of a daughter

How do you save a lost daughter?

By stopping the flow of tears

By saving the memory filled locket

By just staying in this dream

By holding on to her once lost father

To sit with him upon his star

The blinding light of his star

Barely stuns his daughter

But captures the heart of the father

They are bursting now with tears

In this reality like dream

Their hug is crushing the locket

The cracks form a heartbroken locket

That drowns out the blue light of the star

A sharp pain strikes the heart of the dream

Breaking it in two, parting the daughter

There’s room enough for falling tears

The blue light shines down, as she reaches for her father

The broken heart and spirit of a once new father

What once was one, now becomes a two piece locket

Both pieces are soaked with a parted father and daughters tears

As the blue light fades away from a collapsing star

What once was a beautiful dream, in now a nightmare for this daughter

What once was great, is now a hopeless, failing dream

She once dreamt a dream about her father

How he held the locket as he held his daughter and said

“ Though the light of my star is dim, and you begin to wake from this dream,

you are forever in my heart. And I cry for you, the rain, the rain you see is my falling tears.”
