Chow Kit is an atmospheric, localized area of Kuala Lumpur city Centre, filled with rows and rows of long-established retail outlets specializing in wholesale goods. While it is best known for its daily market, called Bundle Chow Kit by locals, Chow Kit also houses a number of prized local restaurants as well as sightseeing opportunities including Southeast Asia’s largest Sikh temple. Accommodation options here are limited to mid-range and budget hotels, but this unassuming section of Kuala Lumpur is well worth a visit if you are travelling on a modest budget and looking to get a taste of local city life.
Traveling in Malaysia is quite convenient since it has some major bus terminals and express buses are the preferred mode of transport here. Tickets for which can be booked online from www.redbus.my .
