Iridescent you glow, piercing the very soul, stealing breath
The sun need not shine, the room is ablaze
The universe ceases to expand and time forgets it’s place
Light like rain dancing off your skin,
Soaking you in
As you blink, a single moment passes
Day turns to night in the absence of your gaze
The stars float overhead tethered to the moon
The heavens become closer as the sky falls
The ground seems to have disappeared
Nothing seems to bind me to the earth
Weightless without my heart
For it was heavy and we have parted
I chase after it, finding you there
All that I am lay in your hands
Without doubt or demand, they are yours
A pierced soul, a fragile heart
I care not if you should break them
For the pieces will have known your touch
If only for a moment
Just a glimpse into the blue oceans
A calm clarity
A breath
Just one
A speck of divinity, an infinite bliss
Then seconds remember to pass
The universe begins to expand
But never forgotten
