as I'm running down the street

i look at whats behind

but the motion of my feet

keep me from what I'm afraid to find



I'm running in the sunlight

my shadow is nowhere to be found

but in the distance you might

its always chasing me around



the shadow is me

though only a part

its my self given fee

from the conscience to the heart



i cant take this any longer

I've bent all I've bend

and running makes it wronger

It's got to come to an end



i stop and turn around

this is something I've got to do

I see it approaching from the ground

its time i start anew.
