I respectfully remind the reader that the romantic relationship that Basho and Toyo shared is historically documented.  We must also recognize that the society in which Basho and Toyo lived and loved each other did not share the prejudicial views of Homosexuality or of age-different, but monogamous, relationships that seems to be dear to many of the clodhoppers in our state legislatures.
