So far away and so far apart
Don't know why, but still in my heart.
Long enough to feel but too short to last,
Painful enough to cry but makes my heart beat fast.
Out of sight yet lost in your eyes,
No communication but still caught in lies.
Heart made of glass, heart made of stone,
People all around but still all alone.
Able to swim, yet drowning in tears,
So brave and strong, yet so many fears.
Hands soft and loving but not meant to hold,
Tears made of silver, eyes made of gold.
Can't understand, unable to care,
He just couldn't see what really was there.
Blind with the eyes, yet seen with the heart,
The first one to finish, the last one to start.
Never a tear, but my heart will cry,
No questions asked, yet wondering why.
Always perfect, never had to try,
Very outspoken, yet couldn't say goodbye.
