i don't need anything

but everything

inside every heart I stole

from now to long ago

I don't need anyone

just all the fun

and satisfaction

in the lasting action

within each one i choose

to each of them it proves

I am nothing but a loner

with absolutely nothing to lose

and though there's few I've truly loved

there's always those i kept

those that have touched me

have never left me

and it is those who I've never left

but either way it's nothing

nothing that I'll ever need

just a chance to get ahead

just a chance to succeed
