Ah, there's hope in these fingers yet,
at least they aren't lonely
even the thumb has a pair.
And as one hand steadies the paper
in this sinking ship,
the other fondles the pen ignoring
the act of devastation drowning
in this heart.
The ball point no match for the canons of
twisted love fired across the bough
I laughed rather than heeded the warning
The ship has sailed
and I, left captain of this ship of fools run aground
writing on this manifest
the name I will no longer find
Woe!-man overboard!
I scour the seas in this row boat
Even jealous of the paired oars,
grasped with hopes of redemption
ever coming back to this ship like a fool
to see the manifest as if one day
it would show your name as truth
And your raging canons at my bow
Just to see your face.
Alas,
I sail on dreams past
lifted a mast to no man's land
on this ship of fools.
And you,
yet to manifest.
I love the way this power
I love the way this power twists its self! Awesome work! Hugss
