This is what Happened when the World Caved In

Trillions of teardrops flooded the earth

And man couldn't blame God.

After sadness ran rivers

Through homes of Joy and churches of Christ,

After depression made rivers flow from here to there,

The Blackness of the sky ruined hope for life

And man couldn't blame God.

This anger I will see to hold to it

That even the Devil cannot compare.

This tragedy makes me stoned and it hurts to think

It hurts to hold down the hole in my head

To know is to be knowledgeable

and it's better that way.

But I have forgotten and so have you

Of the extinction we will face

After this hole exceeds it's limit.

"And man couldn't blame God." Amen! We brought about our own destruction. He just didn't stop us and that's all part of free will. Powerful piece!
