Please, My Child, Dream

Fast asleep child

Close your eyes and dream

Be with a sweet scene

Conjuring, sustaining,

A hypnical state

Let yourself die

With the dew drops that fall

And the ink spills

That flood at your waist

Pull yourself from reality

Let the song of life

Be your lullaby

Reproach your dignity

Away from the playground

To be with a sweet silence

May you forgive

Your past fury

And be good my child

Be good for your mother-

Earth, she loves you

But you take away her beauty

Child, you are no man

Until you stop

To smell the roses

To take your dreams

And share them with her

You cannot calculate life

When all you do is the algebra

It’s a bigger problem to solve

So get lost in yourself

Have no worries, child

Your pains will fail

When your eyes disappear

Behind your lids

When you have no more

Strength to sustain your hate

Believe, be free

Please, my child, dream
