I'm Only Half Myself

I'm Only Half Myself

It's been better said

That I sometimes come up short

I've had too many chances

To plead innocent in court

I've gained the weight of pavement

Baring feet to the street

I've known better than to say it,

Steady grind and repeat

Respect the up that makes you fly

But keep your pride on stealth

It doesn't mean too much to shine

Though, I'm only half myself

What a fine poem, and what a

Such a fine poem.  There is so much hidden behind your words.  I can't say I know what it is,

but I feel it, a familair song from an old soul.

Cheers,

Luther
