The smile is the easy part
It comes naturally to me
It's worn with age and weathering
And is cracked in two or three
It falters every now and then,
In desperate need of some repair
It works so well that even I

I've had one of my friends
I've had one of my friends tell me they imagined it being narrated by a statue who felt forced to be happy because she was made with a smile.
I feel that statues pain, I feel like people depend on me to always smile.

I literally came out of the womb with a smile. It's been with me my whole life. But I am a bit stoic. I let the frown out with poetry. The rest of the time, I seem unmoored. I really like to laugh... a lot! Honestly the smile is natural. I'm mostly happy with deep seeded scar tissues. :\ I mean :)

Smile to keep from crying is
Smile to keep from crying is what my mom has always said. I couldn't live life without laughter! I guess on the outside, before someone has got to know me, they see a very bubbly, happy-go-lucky person, and that is me, but only to an extent.
Let your teeth show
You sound like your my
You sound like your my mirrored younger sister. Or daughter... lol. Keep the smile, but work on healing any pain inside while you're still young.
