Pulled from my waiting embrace
Cambered my once radiant smile
Left behind this poor helpless child
Images and footsteps taking your place
You walked away

You looked away
Your eyes forced from my stare
Pleaded powerlessly for your return
Painful tears within my eyes that burn
Reminded me how you no longer care
You looked away

You passed away
Died as you turned from a needy soul
Countless hours I cried for you to awake
Although time was less for you to forsake
my heart when I yearned for someone to console
Me when you walked away
