I Can't believe it's been this long, We've made it this far...

I can't believe I see you this way, I can't help but love you this way.



As my best friend , you've seen me through, you know me best, and you've captured my heart,

Is this right, this feeling so crazy, so wrong, that it just can't be true.

Can it?



Is it possible to fall for your best friend,

or become best freinds for whom you have fallen for?



Who Knows....





With your heart so warm, and inviting me in,

I have feared your touch as gentle as it may be...

Feelings you never expect begin to surface,

...to control your thoughts...



From your words of wisdom, to the courage you have...

...Everything about you is perfect to me.



Could this be Love, Could it?

Or longing for something we've never had ?

Is it real, or are we that close?



I know it could be real, and we could be us,

is that what we want, is that what we trust?

Or is the pain of the past so disturbing that we turn to each other..

As we have always, but this time ...Why is it different, Why must we feel so different.

Why is it so difficult to talk about US, when we have always talked about us....



I want to explain, as much as you do...



Neither you nor I can explain all of this,

Only in time can we find out the truth...

Take it slow, and don't rush for the future, or it will rush past us,

and this everlasting freindship will hit a dead end,

Do we want to be one of those?

Lost souls, the remaining awkwardness of a friendship, that took a turn for the worst...

Tried to make something work that wasn't there?



Lost souls, the remaining 'nothing' in a friendship with everything,

The neverending loss of perfection, feeding off of pain, and spite.



Do we dare, cross this line?
