TRUST JESUS

in blue spray paint

on a concrete highway pillar

that was the first night i went to church

in a long time

can i believe

and not have faith

because faith is hard to come by

it's saying something is real

when i can't see it

or feel its effects

it's believing that those people

so long ago

did not make him up

but how do we know they didn't

how do we know people didn't just cook up a juicy story

and now we all blindly follow

because we want so badly to believe in anything at all

Author's Notes/Comments: 

i was driving back to school and saw 'trust jesus' but i wrote this during class. these are thoughts i struggle with alot, b/c i think of myself as a person of very little faith.

Faith is belief in the intangible, the improbable, and the inexplainable. Faith is a very delicate ideal and is just as fragile and valid as Love. Treasure what faith you do have, and I pray that it one day grows to fill your needs. (I went into poetic detail on Faith if you care to read... on my page)
