so what if i want to run out

hop in that el camino

throw my sweater in the rusty bed

and say

"take me where i want to go"

so what if want to forget about life for awhile

so what if i want to see and touch

those people who never leave my head for more than a few minutes

who always seem to pop right back into my head

when the radio goes out as we speed through the cornfields
