Tanning

They walk in, hoping to transform their paleness into beautiful bronze hues. Lying in the communal bed, letting those unsafe rays tan the outside, but char the inside. We go for beauty over health because pale is out and tan is in.

I agree with this statement but I don't receive this as a poem. I'm no critic, it's just an opinion. I like it and agree with it though.

I loved your poem. You seem to be a prophetess,saying to people
its better to not be only beautiful on the outside. Your "beauty"
seems to say to me-for what purpose would you let your insides be
"charred" because society says tan is beautiful. I think your poem is spiritual
and provokes us into thinking about the superficial. You are talented-keep going!!!
