I wish I was a poem
So that my verses may oscillate
Within your sight
So that you read them
So that you love them
And by heart you keep them
So that I sleep
So quiet … so deep
Within your mind
If I were a song
That falls like dew
Upon your mind
To bring you joy
To take you up
So that you dance
While I chime
If I were a candle
Melting so slow
Bearing a flame
Dancing in pain
And casting shadows
Over the walls
so that you dream
in your peaceful sleep
While I burn
Or I were a thought
Lighting up in your brain
like a sweet surprise
or good news
that brings you hope
But alas I am a pulse
Rushing so fast
To no one knows where
one lust may raze me
another makes me rise again
My multi-wants
Makes me like fragrance
Scatter … go a way
Leaving behind
only memories
And I hold many myself
Aden
