-In A World Of Our Own-

I spoke to a lady who is in her fifties.

she was really hard to understand,

I listened ever more carefully

to what she said.

As she was telling me about her own,

my heart broke and pain I did feel.

I was lost for words to say and all

I could say was I will pray.

She had endured cancer and never

smoked a day in her life.

That scared me, for I smoked everyday.

She got breast cancer in both of her

breast and had them remove from her

chest.

The doctor had said, that was all he

could do.

He couldn't get all of the cancer out

of you.

She battles her life from day to day,

and never worries about herself.

Her heart is so big, she thinks of

others instead.

The doctor had said, you have eight

months to live.

It's going on two years and still

going strong,

to know that she living on borrowed

time and it want be long.

We all live in a world of our own.

When things get tough and rough,

know that you don't have to fight

the battle alone.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Her name is Leela and she touched my heart to write this inspiring piece. May God give her more time to enjoy life
and time with her grand children who are keeping her going and making her feel alive.
She is the most lovely lady you would ever meet. May God bless her always. With Love Bobbie
