I watch this girl grow from a little tot

and now she grown up somuch she nearly an adult.

Life has delt her a hard hand and yet her smile

continues to stay on her face each mile.

She has not been treated fairly from her mom,

her mom treated her like a slave and treated

her like she is dumb.

Now she's left the nesting place a cry for help to grow,

Now she comes to me to help her plant her seeds to sow.

I help this girl a year ago and she found herself back there,

everytime she trys to achieve she's cut short, it's not fair.

This girl has seen her father killed and carried the burden to take care of her little sister day and night.

While her mother party with her girlfriend a lover and pist the money away, let them with a little, to which they the siblings would fight.

Shes trying to fight her battle and I know that she will win,

she's only seventeen with a future just right infront of her

to take.

I will help her get the professional help she needs I am a aunt to her, everytime this kind spirited girl brakes down.

She comes to her aunt to help, but now shes got to help herself cause I can only listen.

I once was seventeen and moved out of my parents house,

I was dealt with a hard hand, and just needed that direction.

I believe what comes around goes around, I had help to take the steps I needed to take and now it's my turn to return the favor.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Not my best piece but all so true. This girl is 17 and she has had alot of wrong in her life. I was there to help and listen but that was all i can do. I can relate to her cause I also know the steps she taken and the steps she will continue to take to be a well balance person. That balance can only come from learning and achieving. I will support her in the decisions she decides to take either it's to go back home or take a huge step and move out on her own. I really can't let her live with me just don't got the space. I will help her get on her feet and help her to go further in her life.
