Unhappily Ever After

Yes, baby girl,

Those are tears you see,

For what I must tell you

Won’t be easy.

You know mom and dad

Haven’t been getting along,

And we have decided

Daddy should find a new home.

Oh no, it isn’t anything you all did,

God knows, you guys are the world’s

Greatest kids.

I am buying that house on the end of the street,

And anytime you want you can come see me.

Any time mommy needs a baby sitter,

I will be here.

I will give you a key to the lock,

Then you can just come in up the block.

Oh babies, please don’t cry,

It is bad enough I have tears in my eye.

I know you don’t want me to go,

But seeing mommy and daddy fight,

Isn’t good for you, you know.

What if mom finds someone new?

Well my darling Lacie,

Then you will have two dads that love you.

And I find someone new,

I am sure, she will love you too.

I don’t think I could ever love anyone,

Like I love you Mommy,

But love, sometimes isn’t enough,

Once you are older you will see.

Come give me big hugs,

And remember you will always be,

My little Love Bugs.

I will come and get you

Once I have moved in,

And you can help me fix your rooms,

And pick furniture for the den.

Well goodbye my sweets,

One last time, I will tuck you in,

I will kiss you good night,

But I must leave then.

I know, I will try to be strong,

I can’t be away from you for to long.

Good night

Don’t let the bed bugs bite.

Nite daddy.
