As I aimlessly wonder about
My mind full of thoughts that shout
I lose my focus while I take each step
Coz my eyes are blurred by tears wept
I sit down in the middle of this mall
Looking at faces, bodies, reflected on the walls
I wonder if they have the burden that I bear
Or are they just carefree and curiously unaware?
I look for a face that bears a smile
So I can forget my troubles for a while
A smile that has innocence and love
A grin that is meek as a dove
I try to look for a baby’s smile
Coz they seem so genuine, calm, worthwhile
An infant’s beam with their tiny little lips
Can tame a tiger to release its grip
Their smile can disarm that coldest heart
Makes you wanna make a brand new start
As I look around in this crazy place
Longing for the smile on that Angel’s face
Take me back to those innocent ways
Where I would never see the end of days
