Standing there abandoned,

she screams with all her might;

at the pain she holds so closely,

and a love lost in the night.

She feels her heart break slowly,

overwhelmed by regret;

for destroying all she loves,

and hurting everyone she's met.

Frustration so consuming,

her tears fall like the rain;

But no matter how it storms,

she can't wash away the pain.

Lonely once again,

she searches for a light;

someday someone strong enough,

will help her heart take flight.

Until she learns the answer,

pain'll be her company,

haunted by all the ones she's loved,

and what she fears will never be.
