MY FATHER

Folder:
MY LIFE STORY

My father enjoyed his new life
for about three years. One
morning I received a phone call.
Your father has taken ill. Come
at once.
I went to him immediately, when
I arrived he had already passed
on. My brother was there with
him.
He had gotten up that morning,
Went to bathroom, returned to
living room, fell in floor. my
brother ran to help him, but he
was already gone to be with my
mother. I did not have a chance
to say good-bye to my spirit
guide.

As I lay last night, with
misty eyes.
I returned to yesterday.
Sitting on my spirit
guides lap.
Being nutured as a child.

Through my young life,
He was my mainstay.
When I beckoned, he
answered my call.

In death, I was thrown
into deep sorrow. I was
at a total loss.

One night while in agony,
His gentle, sweet voice,
Spoke to me once again.
My baby girl, I am still
with you.

Call, and I will answer.

In your life's journey,
I will never leave you.
Reach and touch me.
I am here for you always,
Being your spirit guide.

When shackles no longer bind,
Free at last to inter-twine.
Bid farewell to all that
presists,
Eternity alone exists.
On dove like wings, my spirit
soar,
Silently thru the open door.

thanks Chris.  These are some inserts from my life story.  As you see I am building this for my children.
I make chapbooks of my poetry for them. I have two, a boy and a girl...both adults....They each like a copy of everything I write...thanks for reading...heather
