This morning, I woke from a dream.

 A man was standing in front of me.

I shot up out of bed. I should have fled.

 You didn't pay for that dream, he said.

What?! I will not pay for that dream.

 Where I come from, dreams are for free.

He said, if you do not listen to me,

 all of your dreams will cease to be.

In this world, you have to pay for your dreams,

 for it is the law in this land of the free.

Free?! How can you say, land of the free?

 When you're asking for money in order to dream?

This doesn't make any sense to me.

 Something is wrong in your 'free' country.

Dreams are for sale. You have to choose.

 The good ones will cost too much for you.

If you don't pay. Nightmares are free.

 They'll haunt you whenever you try to sleep.

Okay, okay, I'll pay for that dream.

 But next time I want to choose the scene.

How much more money will it cost,

 to go back to sleep and dream I'm not lost?

5000 dollars, he said it would be.

 But for 2, you could enter a dream with me.

I thought for a moment, and asked the man,

 what sort of dream was it, that he had planned.

He told me that it was to be a surprise.

 I shouldn't be frightened but should be disguised.

He said that I would be wearing a mask.

 And questions were something that I could not ask.

This didn't sound very safe to me.

 So I decided not to go back to sleep.

Maybe tomorrow, I'll find a job.

 So I can work to save the money up.

The dream that I'll buy, I'll be alive.

 And everyone around me will thrive.

I need a dream that will set us all free,

 from the nightmarish place we'll be sent when we sleep.

A dream a dream a dream of a place.

 Where money won't ever rule the day.

If I have to pay, I'll work for a wage.

 And save my pennies to buy the space.

Enter a dream that is realer than real.

 Where money don't matter and everyone heals.

This place will be freer than free.

 And no one has nightmares when they don't pay the fee.

The dream that I'll buy will put me back to sleep.

 To wake in a world we don't pay for dreams.
