She neglected her love.
Hid behind the trees.
Afraid of what would happen, if she's seen.
Openly loving another creature being.
Should she show the whole world?
Shout her love across the mountain peaks?
Hear them mimic her
as the screams turn to whispers...
She was sure it would be the death of her.
If she let anyone else see into her dreams.
The mountains would crumble into the sea.
Her love would be judged and crushed...
Demolished...
Should she shout her love across the lands?
It's been fulfilled by just one man.
He treats her sweet... Like a princess.
And he makes her heart feel a certain bliss.
Warm sensations washing over.
Tingling her whole body over.
Why should she keep it hidden inside?
Why should she worry if they hear her joyful cries?
She is a lover and he is her man.
It's time she stood up and made a stand.
Embrace her love with conviction.
Offer Him her devotion, in front of her peers.
She loves him from the deepest depths of her being.
It is not an act... for what she has found... is true love.
I think it only matters what
I think it only matters what the person in love thinks, and not what anyone else thinks. So what do you think? I go by an old saying, perhaps I am an old fogie, but it says, "no one knows what goes on behind closed doors". In the same respect, what two people share between each other is unknown by anyone but them. If I meet 12 different people, those who watch from the outside have only a mere perspective on what they 'think' they see. This subject seems to be the concern of people who would seem to have no love in their own lives, thus they must live a love through others. Then too, those who have become avid protestors of what they see as abuse feel it their 'duty' to stick their noses in everyone's personal business just because they might see a cultural mannerism that doesn't 'fit in' with what they have decided love 'is'. now you got me babbling like a bible thumper after sunday school mass...but you asked...lol.
It must be good or I would not have had that much to say... lol.
...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
I suppose she would be
I suppose she would be concerned about her ex who keeps an eye on her happenings. She tries not to show too much out of concern for his heart even though they have been apart for some time. So, she's afraid of flaunting it.

You'd have to understand the
You'd have to understand the nature of her departure from him. It's a real life story not an on line poetic one.

Yeah. I feel fortunate to be within her circle of trust. Hope she realizes she can live in her own truth, soon.

Thanks Jessi! I am always happy when my words resoate...
Her story of love is still unfolding. There is often distance between two but the love is strong. Unconditional. Without the jealousies that often come with romantic love. Its quite beautiful. Oh, and her peers honor and appreciate their connection. :)
