Red hair and blue eyes
She looked to the sky.
Dreaming her lover
would come passing by.
She watched the clouds
Changing their shapes.
Within them she could see a face.
It was the one that she had dreamed.
Dancing in the clouds so free.
She saw herself dancing too.
The sky was shining brightly blue.
Reaching for her cloudy love
She stretched her arms far above.
And when she did she began to lift.
For wings had been given as a gift.
She started to fly into the sky.
Until she could look in her lover’s eye.
She looked deeply and could clearly see.
True love lies within these seas.
As she took the hand of love
She was lifted high above
Twisting, twirling, dancing free.
Completely filled she was with glee.
Never had she once imagined
The world in which the sky had fashioned.
Flying free within the sky,
She started feeling really high.
Never did she want to leave.
She loved to soar above the trees.
Yet she knew she’d have to ground.
And so she landed softly down.
For she knew true love was near.
And she no longer had to fear.
So she looked up to the sky.
And thanked the clouds for passing by.
They let her know what was in store.
She didn’t question anymore.
For she could clearly understand,
Her heart was touched by lover’s hand.
