I’ve lost my love, I’ve lost the woman I wanted for life,

I’ve stood by her in good times and bad, I’ve seen her happy and I’ve seen her sad,

I’ve stood by her through her darkest hours, I’ve helped through the hardest trials,

my heart has always remained so true, no matter the cost, or the bruise,

She captured my heart she captured my soul,

she lifted me up she made me whole,

I thought I’d found a love so true,

I thought I found a love that could make it through,

the good the bad and uncertain to,

but then when my troubles started to compound,

my love I found was not around,

so one dark night I wanted to go away,

but my love came to me and got me to stay,

she said she wanted and needed me too,

so as friends we would try to start anew,

truth and honesty was to be the keys,

that keeps us close as we would be,

But the honesty from my heart she could not take,

So once more she left me,

As if it was fate

My heart is broken my soul is gone,

taken by my lovers song,

now my world is cold and grey,

to love no more the passing day,

she don’t understand that I love her so,

she don’t care if I stay or go,

a call would be nice it would go along way ,

to brighten up a darkened day,

but she don’t care and I know its so ,

so I’ll just have to let her go,

I pray that GOD will keeps her safe and warm,

I pray that GOD keeps her from harm,

and I’ll be here if she ever desires ,

if she wants my love that ,

burns with desire,

a love that will always be true,

and love that will always remain so true.
