What has been happening

Between he and I

Has time kept us apart

Thus hard to keep our tie



Although we both

Love each other lots

The lack of communication

Is quickly reducing any shots



At first it was I

Who couldn't talk long

But I soon made some time

Because I wanted our relationship

To stay going strong



But now it is he

Whose time does take

And I can?t say anything

Because I did it to him

So I must sit and just partake



Sadly so

Now that I feel

What he went through

It's harder to deal



The guilt is there

So is his absence

The nights of loneliness

And daily happy pretense



I wish just to spend

A few hours with him

Catch up on the past month

Check-on and see how we?ve been



But only a few minutes

Or seconds as well

Do we rarely even get

To say what we need to tell



"Distance makes

The heart

Grow fonder"

But also tears apart
