It's happening again

For a girl I met in class

From the moment I saw her

My heart was again glass



Susceptible to breaking

Fragile once more

Since the last girl I was aching

She's created a spot she is for



Fragile as my heart was

I was willing to take a chance

Instead of waiting for 5 years

I was going to advance



I worked up the courage

To ask her out, although

Afraid I was of rejection

I was prepared to take the blow



I wanted to ask her in person

But online was my opportune

And as I clicked on her name to ask

I felt my heart swoon



I really thought I had a chance

I really thought she'd say yes!

But I guess I was just blinded

As I realized her answer in my finesse



But still I do wait

While some time I give her

Then ask her on a date

Because she never said "No"



She had recently parted

With another girl in the class

And I guess it was too early I started

So I'll wait before I give another pass
