My life in general I have become someone unique
Perhaps strange to some on most of my views
I have strived to see over things and be forgiving
Strong to most things I've been forced to see through
I look at the things I miss the most
I smile in thought of what I've become
Now an adult choices are my own
facing the problem, not trying to run
I've found the person I've been looking for all along
his very presence completly feels everything with meaning
His love is so intense and passionately strong
He is my soulmate, he is the world to me
The person I have become has pushed me to see
that I am happy with myself as things are
Because if I wasn't the person I am today
There would still be this empty place in my heart
...That the person I love has filled endlessly

this poem has many interesting points to it. it shows that with love and understanding from someone important in your life can help you to see the good in yourself, as well as change yourself to be the person you truly want to be. i especially like the thought of soul mates too, because its weird to think that we have found each other in this wide world. and all it took was one little IM one day in a boring, empty Omaha chat room. I can feel how much you put your heart into this poem and I think it is one of your best ever. It is straightforward about how you feel, and what you feel is good inside, instead of anger and frustration like I see in so many poems. I love you more and more every day, I hope I can keep you smiling as long as I live.
