Born on a snowy day
my winter dream came true
all around was white with snow
that silently filled the ground
the night before; (i dreamed)
- a herald of your coming!
I marvelled in my heart
how my thought was transposed
from dream to reality -
The surrounding was a spectacle of beauty
it was an absolute wonderland!
my eyes couldn't believe what they saw
as if there was magic on the air;
hard to grasp beyond my fecund mind.
Deep in slumber
i was awoken by uncessant clanks
the wards were in chaotic commotion
and restless remonstrance;
All, but I, was not happy
that snow had to impede their way.
The staff in green trundled me upward
to a theatre, where the noble with deep-blue sea eyes
in neat baby-blue robe took incharge -
And sweet voices of angels around him
gently lulled me to sleep -
it was easy to forget what's going on
I left it all in a dream -
as I yielded my breath
under the spell of a magic mask.
"Wake up, Leah!"
I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder,
a loving squeeze in my hands
a tender whisper on my ears.
"It's a baby girl Leah!"
once again, i stepped out of my dream
and drowsily opened my eyes;
i forced a somnific smile
and said, "thank you all"
in a weak faint voice.
In my heart, I thank the Lord
for His great mercy prevailed
He blessed me a new wee life
whom He brought out from my winter dream!
