A Lady In a Wheelchair

She's old and frail;

kind, gentle, sweet-spoken.

Her smiling face never wanes;

her sparkling eyes and looks convey.

How sweet to feel her nearness

Her voice is full of affection;

compassion and mercy flow.

Her touch is tender,

warmth and reassuring;

shaky with age but comforting.

Her wisdom is rich with imagination

Sincerity and truth is her beauty.

High in spirit, kindled with fire

of devotion and admiration;

she braves through the years.

A lady in a wheelchair.

I've known many like this lady when I did inhome nursing care which I thorougherly enjoyed. Yes often the ignorant pass those in a chair as though they don't exist. Poor fools don't realize how much these individuals still feel and how much of a wealth of knowledge and love they contain within their being..
