Comforting words for my soul so profound
Dumbfounding, I can not make a sound
A new direction is destined to bound
When the cares seem too much, you are here around.
I turn mute to the stress of the day
It only causes me distress, I have no way
To gather strength when I am suppose to hurry
To clear up the road so I cannot tarry.
I turn deaf to worries of the sign
Akin to whining of the trivials assign
Assuring words from you to my heart appeased:
Calm and relaxed; soothing my nerves at ease.
I turn blind to the vexations of time
They only cause me anguish ahead of my climb
The height is long and the hurdle is hard
Taking it easy makes that burden light to discard.
These unwanted forces must get out of the way.
Not here in my place or my soul will go astray
Forget the erring past and move headlong I say
Tomorrow is better and the best here comes today.

a very interesting piece but I think as far as letting go of past yes to the point of one being able to move on and not put up barriers in front of oneself but not forget the past completely because with it comes lessons learned in our own personal experiences, and past before our own past always gives wisdom of sages...
