I have seen the light shining at the end of the tunnel

Though I have never gotten close enough to experience its warmth

There are days I walk towards it,

but without a second chance-

I get pulled in the opposite direction

I have done my best to try to find it

and then I usually lose my focus on seeing it

I have wanted to be close enough to touch the light,

Yet the harder I fought ,

The further from it I got

The light brought brighter days

but all I ended up seeing were shades of grey

Somedays I chase after it,

in hope for it to stay

I thought by now the light would be brighter

but today it is even more dim

and the line towards it

Is getting thin
