I love you and want to be there for you

Alone at night I cry,

Cause I know more than comforting words and phone calls,

I cannot help you through it all



We are too far apart

The distance breaks my heart

Don't you see the pieces shatter

Can you feel as they fall to the floor



No one said we could make it

They said the distance would break us

Said that we were too young to know what love was

Too young to know we were meant to be



We know the truth and that is all the matters

We'll always be together

No matter what others say



The smile upon your face is always enough to lighten my day

I love you in that special way

More than any words can say

and late at night when all my hope has gone away

You are able to bring it back to me



Never did I want to let anyone else in

Could not bear to get hurt again

You are patient enough to let my heart heal

Showing that love is and can be real



and when you say those words I fall in love all over again

I see your face and I melt within

and when your hands are holding mine

I find my reason to go on...to go on living..



Even though the distance comes in painful creases

Our love undying, never ceases
