A Dreamer's Fight
It’s beautiful inside, yet pouring mourning waterfalls,
Devoid of the laughter and warmth that should forever be found.
Struggling to find the hidden unanswered meanings,
Wishing the long weekends would end without that awful sound.
I know you’ll find the question.
Happiness is fleeting,
Dissolving away as quickly as it’s gained.
Haunted by memories,
Of radiant, peaceful days.
I believe you can chase away the ghosts.
Fighting when others have all but lost hope,
Bravery and courage flourish without ever having been known.
Trudging forward one pace at a time,
Emotions when some refuse to admit they’ve ever grown.
I know you’ll always succeed.
Dried up thoughts and dreams,
Seeds planted but never sown.
Belief in oneself the rain,
Drought making it hard to bloom.
I believe you can grow a garden.
Decisions,
Whether to stay or ride away from the pain.
Solitude,
Is there anything left here to really gain?
I know you’ll find the path.
