Did you hear me, see me
Squeak squeak scratch scratch
Scuffling and shuffling
Sifting and shifting
Under floors behind walls
In and out of bins
Following scents
Up down side to side
Sharing abodes
Paying no rent's
Tap tap scrabble
Listening to human babble
In the garden, the shed
Maybe even under the bed
From corners I see
In grates I hide
Under garages I abide
Dark and dry is were I lie
You hate me yet feed me
A scared of me yet kill me
Do not want me near yet invite me in
Your a thousand times my size yet run from me
I'm the humble mouse
I'll share your house, your food
Stay out of your way
You won't really know I'm there
Let me live, show you care.
I Care About You
Mouse in my walls
nibbling on the wires
leaving little reminders
on the floor near
the holes you gnaw
from.
.
How you eat the cheese
without disturging
the trap. How you run
across my guests feet
at dinner in search
of crumbs.
.
Oh, little mouse one day
you will grow too big
and venture outside, but
beware. Six big Tabby's
roam my hood and they
are furry and adept
hunters.

Great response in fact better
Great response in fact better than my post I think.
The darkness outside is not so frightening as the one inside. Behind knowing smiles and crocodile tears we hide our fears.
Being angry at someone is to give them power over you, but to forgive is to take away that power.
