You are the moon,

Beautiful and bright,

If i could make it so,

It would always be night.

Then I could stare forever,

And lose myself completely,

And if i had my way,

Id choose you to complete me.

Among a million stars,

You stand out in the sky,

There's only one of you,

And to me it’s obvious why.

Your reflection in my eyes,

Is all i want to see,

Not just for your appearance,

But for all you are beneath.

You are the moon,

Beautiful and bright,

Forever in my thoughts,

Even in daylight.

If you are the moon,

Then i am the tide,

This isn't just a fact,

But a feeling i cannot hide.

As days go past,

You are always turning,

I can’t see all of you,

And for that i am yearning.

In the darkness i look for you,

I know you’re looking too,

But right now it’s too cloudy,

And its spoiling the view.

You are the moon,

Beautiful and bright,

Every single moment,

Honestly a pure delight.

If  i could meet you in the sky,

It wouldn't take a second,

Id find the quickest route to you,

I’ll always be at your beckon.

Who knows what will come,

When the stars are aligned,

But still being near you,

That's the silver in my mind.

If time changes things,

In one way or another,

I'll be happy if you are,

No matter what i’d rather.
